What is going on
STL files carry no unit. Blender writes meters by default, so a 40 mm part becomes 0.04 in the file. FixSTL checks the mesh, not the units; it showed the block as a clean solid 0.04 × 0.02 × 0.012 across.
What was actually wrong
How to fix it
- Click Yes, then check the size in the object panel.
- Fix the export so the next file is right: in Blender, set the export Scale to 1000 or model in a millimetre scene.
- If the size is still wrong, scale by 25.4 for inches or 1000 for meters.
